Going to LILAC? JIL is looking for conference reporters
Are you attending LILAC in April 2025? https://www.lilacconference.com/ If so, please consider submitting a conference report to the Journal of Information Literacy (JIL). JIL publishes conference reports for many different IL conferences, and LILAC is always an important one to cover! Conference reports for JIL are about the length of a blog post -- i.e., 750-1500 words -- and contain thoughts and reflections from attendees about the main points and themes of the conference. It’s up to you to decide what you focus on, and you could choose to focus on just one strand or theme of the conference if you wish.
More information about conference reports is available at https://journals.cilip.org.uk/index.php/jil/about/submissions#conference, and you can get a flavour of past conference reports by searching, e.g., for 'LILAC' or 'LOEX' within https://journals.cilip.org.uk/jil/search Conference reports are a great way to do a bit of writing about IL and see your name in print!
Conference reports are due by May 12th to allow time for copy editing and the journal production process. We will publish LILAC conference reports in our June 2025 issue.
If you'd like to write a conference update for LILAC -- or any other IL conference -- please send queries and expressions of interest to JIL's email address JIL@cilip.org.uk
